Office Based Surgery
Office based surgery is performed using a local anaesthetic.  Our office has a fully equipped on site, minor surgical suite, primarily used for ingrown toe nails, lumps, bumps, cysts and warts.

Cardston General Hospital
Cardston General Hospital surgery is most often performed under a general or spinal sedation.

At times an IV sedation is also used.  When surgery is performed within the hospital, primarily for bunions, hammer toes and neuromas, the cost is covered 100% by Alberta Health Care.  Surgical consults are required in order to facilitate the costs covered by Alberta Health Care. Surgeries performed at the Cardston General Hospital are day surgery.
